Bristol timber company becomes supplier of Duchy garden products

West Country timber and panel supply specialist Clarks Wood Company in Bristol is to showcase their new and exclusive range of British-made timber products.

This will be the one of the few times that Lostwithiel-based Duchy Timber’s products will be available outside of Cornwall at Clarks Wood’s Silverthorne Lane headquarters.

Duchy is renowned for its rich heritage and top quality products, made using only the finest timber, including high-end garden furniture, fencing, gates, decking and flooring.

The move follows the purchase of Duchy by Clarks Wood’s parent company, Premier Forest Group, which has enabled Clarks Wood to become the Cornish mill’s first distributor.

Clarks Wood’s Manager Simon Taylor said: “This is an exciting development for us and we’re looking forward to welcoming the Duchy products to our Bristol site. We’ve already had excellent feedback about the Duchy range and I’m sure that it will be very popular with both new and existing customers.”

From Saturday 22nd August, Clarks Wood will become the first supplier of the Duchy brand outside Cornwall and will be holding an exclusive launch event for customers at their Silverthorne Lane site. Open from 9am-3pm, customers will not only be among the first to view the Duchy range but also be able to take advantage of special, launch-day offers.

Founded in 1818, Clarks Wood was acquired during 2013 and it was one of the top priorities of new owners the Premier Forest Group to develop young fresh talent in the timber trade.

The company, which employs 22 staff at its Silverthorne Lane headquarters in the St Phillips area of Bristol, currently delivers to the whole of the city, the West Country and South and West Wales, from Land’s End to Southampton, Reading, Birmingham and Haverfordwest.
